November 2009

What a wonderful time we have had this month!  We created so many different types of art this past month, all of which have been focused around our October themes!  The students always enjoy making their creations, but they especially loved making their paper plate owls!  There were a lot of steps that needed to be completed in order for these creatures to come alive.  They did a fabulous job of following all of the directions and the owls turned out beautiful!

We began our author study on Leo Lionni this past month, but we still have so much to discover about this author therefore, we will continue to focus on him during the month of November.  So far, Students have learned a lot about Mr. Lionni through reading his stories and enjoying his beautiful illustrations!  Be sure to visit the Neill Public Library to explore Leo Lionni with your child!

We’re looking forward to the month of November where we will focus on friendships and being thankful!
